Sophos Central Email is getting more expensive, and so is Phish Threat
From August 1, 2025, Sophos will raise prices: Sophos Central Email Advanced will become 17 percent more expensive, and the previous multi-year discount will be removed. At the same time, Sophos Phish Threat will increase by a flat 33.3 percent. A final one-year renewal at the current price is only possible until July 31, 2025. For context: on December 6, 2022, Sophos had already increased the price of Sophos Central Email Standard and Advanced by around 40 percent.
Sophos Central Email Advanced
With the removal of the multi-year discount, multi-year terms lose their price advantage. Previously, customers who committed to 24 or 36 months in advance received a noticeable annual discount. In future, 2 or 3 years will be priced like a simple multiplication of the 12-month rate, just spread over a longer period. This improves planning certainty, but no longer reduces the effective annual cost.
In addition, the overall price level increases by 17 percent. The pattern is not new: as with other Sophos product lines, multi-year discounts have been reduced or removed in recent years, shifting the focus from discounts to planning certainty.
For short-term planning, this means: anyone who still wants to renew at the previous rate can book a 12-month renewal until July 31, 2025, securing the old annual price for that term. From August, the new conditions apply without the multi-year discount.
Sophos Phish Threat
For Phish Threat, Sophos is raising prices by 33.3 percent. This increase affects both renewals and new purchases.
Next
Let’s hope the products do not just become more expensive, but also better. Central Email has clearly moved forward over the past two years, with useful new features and ongoing development. With Phish Threat, the pace could certainly pick up again. We will stay on it and let you know as soon as there are real improvements. That is why you should always test the product first and buy it afterwards. ;)
