Sophos Email DMARC Manager Add-on

Sophos Email DMARC Manager Add-on helps companies understand email sent on behalf of their own domain and better defend against forged senders. The service evaluates DMARC reports, showing which systems use the domain and whether their messages authenticate correctly. This provides a basis for introducing domain protection in a controlled way, without accidentally excluding legitimate business emails.

Know who sends on behalf of the company

Alongside the company’s mail server, newsletter services, CRM systems and external partners often send email using its domain. DMARC Manager brings information about these sending sources together. Overviews in Sophos management and detailed analysis in the integrated Sendmarc-based portal help distinguish authorised services from suspicious sources. These examples illustrate the benefit; they are not automatically configured integrations.

Turn reports into effective policies

DMARC complements SPF and DKIM email authentication with a policy for the sender domain. Reports reveal which sources pass the checks and where configuration errors exist. Legitimate services can first be configured correctly, followed by stricter policies against unauthorised sending. The manager supports DNS record management through CNAME-based setup. The necessary domain and DNS settings still need to be implemented; buying a licence alone does not activate a complete protection policy.

Choose domain protection as an addition

The add-on suits companies that want to control outbound use of their domain and have a suitable Sophos Email base licence. It does not replace a spam filter or automatically scan all incoming messages for malware. Its role is to provide visibility into, and protection for, the company’s own sending domain.

DMARC Manager is already included in Sophos Email Plus. Check existing licence coverage before buying it separately. The appropriate base entitlement and coverage for users and shared mailboxes are part of the selection.
