Limit encryption attacks

CryptoGuard monitors files for malicious encryption and can block a detected ransomware attack and recover affected files. Protection also addresses network attacks from a compromised device against protected file shares. This is particularly relevant for small businesses sharing central working documents. Independent backups and a practised recovery procedure remain necessary.

This provides a shared view but does not replace application and operating-system maintenance. Sophos Endpoint 100 is intended for organisations with up to 100 employees. The offer allows up to ten Server licences. The Server variant is selected per server and differs from Sophos Endpoint 100 User for employee devices. Both company size and server count must meet the offer’s conditions.

Sophos EDR Server provides additional tools for teams investigating suspicious activity and responding themselves. Ongoing managed analysis and response is the role of an MDR service. Endpoint 100 Server suits smaller businesses focusing initially on preventive server protection and automatic defence.
