Sophos Security Services Retainer Service Unit Add-on adds to an active Security Services Retainer’s allocation. It suits situations where additional agreed expert services are needed and existing Service Units are insufficient. It increases capacity within the current term without automatically changing the service level or adding response commitments.

More capacity for agreed services

Needs may grow during the year, for example when an assessment expands or additional technical assistance is required. Extra Service Units cover eligible services in the current Sophos catalogue. Before booking, Sophos clarifies the assignment, availability and expected consumption. Units therefore cover agreed work rather than unrestricted access to any service.

The retainer’s entitlements remain decisive

The add-on requires a Sophos Security Services Retainer. Its active level and any separately purchased entitlements determine available services and incident-response capabilities. Additional units do not automatically turn Level 1 into a retainer with incident-response readiness. Buying more units does not activate higher service levels or their response agreements either.

Plan additional capacity in time

The extension ends with the associated retainer subscription; it does not extend its term. Services must be agreed in time and completed within that term. Unused units expire under the conditions. Check expected effort and realistic availability before buying more.

The appropriate quantity depends on the remaining allocation, planned assignment and remaining subscription term. This allows the extension to be used for work that is actually needed.
