We will also show you a way to globally disable tamper protection on all clients with one click.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Info<\/strong>: By default, Sophos Central on Sophos Endpoint Client has tamper protection enabled. This prevents a user from making settings on their own or uninstalling the client.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-voraussetzungen\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sophos Central Account<\/li><li>Sophos Endpoint Client installed on at least one computer<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-manipulationsschutz-dauerhaft-fur-einen-client-deaktivieren\">Disable tamper protection <strong>permanently<\/strong> for a client<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-am-sophos-central-account-anmelden\">1. log in to the Sophos Central account<\/h3>\n\n<p>Log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/central.sophos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\n  <code>https:\/\/central.sophos.com<\/code>\n<\/a> to log in to Sophos Central Admin.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-computer-auswahlen\">2. select computer<\/h3>\n\n<p>Next, in Sophos Central Admin, you can go to the properties of the computer on which you want to disable tamper protection for the Sophos Endpoint Client. To do this, click on the menu item <code>Endpoint Protection<\/code> in the <strong>sidebar<\/strong> on the left-hand side and then click on <code>Computer<\/code>. Select the correct computer from the list and click <code>den Namen des Ger\u00e4ts<\/code> to open its properties.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-manipulationsschutz-tamper-protection-deaktivieren\">3. deactivate the tamper protection.<\/h3>\n\n<p>In the lower area you will now find the <strong>Tamper Protection<\/strong> settings. In most cases, it is sufficient to suspend it only temporarily. In the following steps, we&#8217;ll show you how.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. log in to the Sophos Central account<\/h3>\n\n<p>Log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/central.sophos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\n  <code>https:\/\/central.sophos.com<\/code>\n<\/a> to log in to Sophos Central Admin.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. select computer<\/h3>\n\n<p>Next, in Sophos Central Admin, you can go to the properties of the computer on which you want to disable tamper protection for the Sophos Endpoint Client. To do this, click on the menu item <code>Endpoint Protection<\/code> in the <strong>sidebar<\/strong> on the left-hand side and then click on <code>Computer<\/code>. Select the correct computer from the list and click <code>den Namen des Ger\u00e4ts<\/code> to open its properties.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. copy Tamper Protection password<\/h3>\n\n<p>In the lower area you will now find the <strong>Tamper Protection<\/strong> settings. Click <code>View details<\/code> and use the <code>Show Password<\/code> option to display the current password. Then enter the previously noted password and confirm with <code>Anmelden<\/code>. Under the <strong>General Settings<\/strong> section you will now find the item <code>Tamper Protection<\/code>.
