Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS) Actualización v17.5 - MR4 publicada

Sophos ha lanzado la versión 17.5 MR4 del Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS).

Cifrado de copias de seguridad

Con MR4 llega una función que los usuarios de UTM ya conocen desde hace años. Ahora es posible cifrar las copias de seguridad. Hasta ahora era relativamente sencillo extraer la contraseña de administrador de una copia de seguridad de SFOS. Sophos explica que la configuración se cifraba hasta ahora con una contraseña genérica que solo ellos conocían. Por eso, en el pasado no recomendamos enviar copias de seguridad por correo electrónico ni subirlas a un servidor FTP.

Recomendamos cambiar la contraseña de administrador y crear una contraseña segura para que las copias de seguridad de configuración se cifren correctamente. Luego podréis enviar las copias con tranquilidad por correo electrónico o subirlas a un FTP sin preocupaciones.

Notificaciones

Las notificaciones por correo electrónico de la XG prácticamente no existían hasta ahora. Sophos está trabajando para mejorarlas y la nueva versión del firmware XG ya incluye los primeros avances.

Otras pequeñas mejoras

• Ya es posible generar el archivo de configuración de aplicaciones desde la consola de la XG y luego importarlo en GSuite. Lo encontraréis en Autenticación > Servicios > “Descargar configuración de la app de GSuite”.
• Soporte para interfaces GRE y RED en PIM-SM.
• Soporte para “DHE key exchange cipher suites” con el escaneo HTTPS.
