Sophos Central Email gets more expensive, so does Phish Threat
Sophos is raising its prices from August 1, 2025: Sophos Central Email Advanced will be 17 percent more expensive, and the previous multi-year discount will no longer apply. At the same time, Sophos Phish Threat will increase by 33.3 percent across the board. A final 1-year renewal at the current price is only possible until July 31, 2025. To put this in context: On December 6, 2022, Sophos Central Email Standard and Advanced had already increased in price by around 40 percent.
Sophos Central Email Advanced
With the discontinuation of the multi-year discount, multi-year terms lose their price advantage. Previously, those who took out a 24 or 36-month contract in advance received a significant discount per year. In future, 2 or 3 years will be priced like a simple multiplication of the 12-month installment, only spread over a longer period. Although this makes it easier to plan, it no longer reduces the effective annual costs.
In addition, the price level is increasing by 17 percent. The pattern is not new: similar to other Sophos product lines, multi-year discounts have been reduced or eliminated in recent years, so that the focus has changed from discounts to predictability.
For short-term planning, this means that anyone wishing to extend at the current rate can book a 12-month extension until July 31, 2025 and thus secure the old annual price for this term. From August, the new conditions will apply without a multi-year discount.
Sophos Phish Threat
Sophos is increasing the price of Phish Threat by 33.3 percent. This surcharge applies to both renewals and new contracts.
