Free Upgrade - Sophos SW/Virtual 1CPU 4GB RAM

In April, the new XG 86 and XG 106 models were introduced and at the same time the XG 85 and XG 105 were announced for end-of-sale in mid-year. Meanwhile, it is known that Sophos did this because the future SFOS v18 firmware will require at least 4 GB of RAM.

1CPU 2GB RAM to 1CPU 4GB RAM Upgrade

Until now, only hardware was discussed, but it was almost forgotten that there is also a 1CPU and 2GB RAM variant for virtual/software licenses. Sophos plans to automatically update all existing 1CPU 2GB RAM licenses to 1Core 4GB RAM. So if you have such a license, you benefit from a free update. 👏

The automatic upgrade is expected to be completed by the end of July 2019 and will not disrupt operations for customers currently using the 1C2 license.
