Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS) Update v17.5 - MR11 released
Sophos has released version 17.5 MR11 for Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS).
Note: For more information about the upgrade it is worth checking the post Update SFOS firmware on Sophos Firewall.
This release is relevant for anyone who cannot upgrade their appliance to SFOS v18. Concretely, this affects XG 85 and SG/XG 105 devices, which no longer support the new SFOS v18.
Sophos Connect supports more IP addresses
The coronavirus pandemic is forcing organisations in many sectors to open up their infrastructure for home office scenarios at short notice. The Sophos Connect client is a suitable choice as a secure VPN solution. Many environments, however, need significantly more than the previously supported 255 IP addresses. With SFOS 17.5 MR11, this limit is lifted.
New REDs
With this update, the firewall also supports the new SD-REDs, which can already be pre‑ordered in our shop:
