Sophos Shop Update v3.3: Improvements and roadmap
With our Sophos Shop we never just wanted to be another “online shop” on the internet. We have specialised in Sophos and want to offer both the products and our services as a complete package.
That’s why we’ve been working to become a single point of contact for people who are already using or want to use Sophos on their network since our web shop was first designed.
With our webshop, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to order Sophos products, renew licenses, get free purchase advice, plan major projects with us and get support when you’re finished with your Sophos expertise.
Sophos is not just any product on our shelves. You buy your Sophos product from professionals, a certified gold partner who understands the subject.
Update: In 2017, we achieved the highest status at Sophos and were officially named a Platinum Partner.
Of course, we are still far from where we want to be. Our roadmap is full of great ideas that still need to be implemented.
Here we would like to give you a short update about what we have improved in the last weeks and which innovations you can look forward to!
Order optimized for prepayment
In order to keep the period between the order and the dispatch with the “prepayment” as small as possible, the invoice with the necessary payment information is attached now immediately after the order to the email of the order confirmation. In the past, we used to create each invoice manually and thus let the customer wait unnecessarily. This step has now been fully automated and it is now up to the customer how fast he pays the invoice. According to our experience, we are informed about the receipt of payment on the following day and immediately place the order.
In contrast to the invoice, PayPal or the credit card, a maximum of one working day is lost with the prepayment.
Credit card payments improved
So far we have always offered the payment methods PayPal and credit card combined. Since you could pay with PayPal also by credit card, this was always very practical for us as a provider.
Thanks to some feedback from customers who wanted to pay by credit card, we noticed that the payment processing on the PayPal side can be very confusing. We then decided to offer the two payment methods separately and look for our own payment provider for the credit card.
It should now be a lot easier and more understandable to pay by credit card in our shop. We have also decided to cover all credit card fees ourselves and not to charge them to the customer as with PayPal.
Payment by invoice on request
The most popular method of payment for end customers is and remains, of course, on invoice. We as a provider always take a high risk with this payment method, because we have to pay in advance for a customer and have to trust that the amount will be paid within the payment period. Customers who have already placed frequent orders with us have already been able to order on account for some time.
In order to prevent new customers from cancelling their purchase because of this missing payment method, simply call us or send us an email. We then briefly check the order value and the company behind the order and then decide whether we agree with an order on invoice. With private persons we make in the fewest cases an exception.

TotalProtect Plus Bundles
The popular TotalProtect Bundle (Hardware + FullGuard) gets a big brother! With the TotalProtect Plus Bundle you get Sophos Sandstorm in addition to the FullGuard license ( Hardware + FullGuard + Sandstorm).
How do you know your current antivirus didn’t miss a thing? Sophos Clean, a brand new product from Sophos, will be launched in our shop in the coming months. Sophos Clean works on the principle of “ twice is better” and will be deployed alongside your existing antivirus. In other words, the “sidekick” of your anti-virus software. Sophos cloud becomes “Sophos Central”
Sophos has announced that it will be renaming the product “Sophos Cloud” to “Sophos Central”. We will also be revising the Sophos Cloud section in our shop. However, we are not yet aware of the new product names. We’ll keep you up to date on them.
With MSP, Sophos offers a new payment model based on the “Pay-as-you-go “ principle. A license no longer has to be purchased for 1, 2 or 3 years, but can be rented monthly. We’ve already thought about how we can integrate this model into our shop in the most practical way. Who already now sees that this model could be interesting for him, should contact us.
Update: We do not offer monthly licenses any more until further notice. Our model for a Sophos Central or XG subscription had to be discontinued in May 2018.
Become a Reseller
We have often received requests from companies who want to use Sophos with their own customers but do not want to register with Sophos and a distributor. And then there are certifications, which is too much work for those who don’t see Sophos as their core business. So they asked if they could get the hardware and software from Sophos through us, and if they didn’t know what to do, they could count on our Sophos support.
In response to these requests, we have set up a reseller program. A company that registers with us as a reseller and orders from us on a regular basis will receive special reseller conditions from us. In the fourth quarter we have planned a major update of our shop, where you can also directly create a reseller account.
