Avanet Shop – Various optimizations and new products
It’s been almost two months since we launched our new store on avanet.com. Since then we have made some optimizations and added new content. I will briefly summarize the most important innovations here.
Navigation changed
Aside from quite a few tweaks that went on under the hood to make the experience on our store even faster, we realized pretty quickly that the new navigation wasn’t working for our customers. The new structure was apparently too complicated and confusing. In the meantime, we have returned to the previous presentation, which now ensures that our customers can find their way around again.
Central products restructured
In case you haven’t noticed, there was a recent renaming of the Central Endpoint and Server products. You can find all relevant information in the following two blogposts:

- Sophos Central Server Protection: Intercept X for servers
Due to these name changes, we also had to revise the product pages and remove the Standard and Advanced versions.
FAQs expanded
On our support page we have renamed the “general help topics” to “FAQs”, added a new category “Buyers Guide” and added and answered many new questions. The Buyers Guide contains topics that are relevant before purchasing a Sophos product and are intended to support our customers.
New APX series launched
Sophos has launched new access points on the market, which we have of course added to our store as soon as possible.
Except for the APX 740, we can deliver the new access points immediately. The APX 740 is expected at the end of September 2018.
New product images
We receive images from Sophos of most products, but not actual product images. Our aim is to provide you with images that are as realistic as possible. Therefore, we have now started to photograph the products ourselves, as soon as we have them in our hands again.
We have provided additional image material for the following products:
- AP 55
- APX 530
- SG 125
- XG 310
- XG 430
- SG 125(w)/135(w) rev. 3 Rackmount kit
New unboxing videos
As with product images, we naturally want to create an experience in the area of moving images. We have created new unboxing videos for the following products. The APX videos are also the first time we’ve experimented with a soundtrack. We would be very happy about your feedback, whether positive or negative. The main thing is constructive, so that we can do even better in the future.
Top prices
A big step that we have been looking forward to for a long time was the connection of our store to toppreise.ch.
