Sophos Shop Update v3.4 - New Central Products and Roadmap
The year 2016 is already drawing to a close, and what we’ve achieved with our shop this year is nothing short of phenomenal for us. We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all our customers. Without your many orders and renewals this year, we would not be where we are today with Sophos.
Since the last shop update, a few minor changes have slipped in and several new products have been added. So it’s high time we shared a brief progress update.
Sophos Cloud becomes “Sophos Central”
Last time we announced it; now the switch from “Sophos Cloud” to “Sophos Central” has been completed. You can find all Central products in our shop under Sophos Central.
SG/XG now ship with EU and UK power cables
If you order a Sophos SG or XG from us in future, don’t be surprised to find that both an EU and a UK power cable are included. Sophos has decided to bundle these cables as standard worldwide. That’s very convenient for us too, as we are now also supplying customers in Germany and Austria. The CH power cable is supplied in a separate box.
Service page revised
Even though Sophos hardware and licences are the main focus in our shop, we don’t want to hide our own professional services. Ultimately, these are exactly what set us apart from other shops that sell Sophos.

Sophos Central Email
While a standard spam filter hardly causes any provider real trouble these days, things look quite different when it comes to malware scanning. With Sophos Central Email you get a cloud-based email security gateway that can be managed via Sophos Central.

Sophos Central Device Encryption
Sophos Central Device Encryption is probably the simplest product in the Sophos Central portfolio. Using the central management console “Sophos Central”, it helps you enable full-disk encryption on any computer in your network with just a few clicks.

Roadmap
We don’t want to reveal too much yet, but next year we will be focusing on a new payment model for all “Sophos Central” products. We believe that licensing in particular needs to offer far more flexibility.
So stay tuned - we have been working for some time on a new, modern solution that will enable us to offer you “Sophos Central” licences. The release date for this solution is planned for Q1 2017.

Update: Until further notice, we are no longer offering monthly licences. Unfortunately, we had to discontinue our payment model for a Sophos Central or XG subscription in May 2018.
